Privacy Policy.

How Rainy Garment collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated: June 2026  ·  Version 1.0

This policy applies to visitors of www.rainygmt.com and to business contacts who reach out via our contact form. We operate as a B2B (business-to-business) manufacturer — we do not sell directly to consumers.

1. Who We Are

Rainy Garment (Pvt) Ltd is a garment manufacturer registered in Sri Lanka (est. 2014), located at 5th Lane, Minikukula Estate, Kiulgalla, Metiyagane 60121, North Western Province, Sri Lanka.

2. What Data We Collect

We only collect data that you actively provide to us. The table below summarises what we collect and why.

Company name Contact form (optional) To understand your business context
Email address Contact form To respond to your inquiry

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, financial, political, or biometric data). We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or behavioural analytics tools.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on the following legal grounds under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to respond to B2B inquiries submitted through our contact form and to keep basic server logs for security purposes.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — where you have voluntarily provided optional information such as your phone number.
  • Pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — where your inquiry relates to a potential supply or manufacturing agreement.

For visitors from Sri Lanka, our processing is consistent with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 (PDPA).

4. How We Use Your Data

  • Reply to your inquiry by email (and by phone if you have provided a number).
  • Maintain a record of our business correspondence for the duration of any potential or ongoing commercial relationship.
  • Send a confirmation email to acknowledge receipt of your message (this is a one-time automated message, not a marketing list).

We do not add you to any newsletter, marketing list, or CRM without your explicit consent. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data shared within Rainy Garment is limited to the team members directly involved in answering your inquiry. We use the following service providers who may process data on our behalf:

  • ceyMX — hosting and email delivery infrastructure (mail.ceymx.com). Data is processed in Sri Lanka.
  • Google Fonts — font delivery via CDN; Google may log IP addresses per their own privacy policy.

Where we engage processors, we ensure they provide adequate safeguards. If you are in the EU or UK, note that Sri Lanka is not currently covered by an EU adequacy decision; transfers are made under our legitimate interests and the nature of B2B correspondence.

6. Data Retention

Inquiry emails and related correspondence are retained for up to 3 years from the date of last contact, or for the duration of an active business relationship — whichever is longer. After this period, records are deleted or anonymised. Web server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

7. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use any analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking scripts. The only technical storage that may occur is a browser session cookie if your browser creates one for standard HTTPS session management — this contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.

No cookie consent banner is required because we set no non-essential cookies.

8. Your Rights

If you are located in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you may exercise the following rights by contacting us at info@rainygmt.com:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal reason to retain it.
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing while a complaint is resolved.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (e.g., the Garante in Italy, or the ICO in the UK).

9. Security

We transmit data over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our email infrastructure uses TLS/SSL. Access to contact form submissions is restricted to authorised personnel. While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is fully secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

This website is intended for business professionals only. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of the contact form after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
